About the Event

Black women have been the backbone of households for years. When women  experience loss, need support for someone to stand up for them, who do they turn to? The voice of a black woman has always been one of two extremes: silent (often mistaken for weakness) and loud (otherwise known as boisterous and unapproachable). Societal norms have told us that we should be seen yet not heard, but how do we switch the narrative? We too have experienced a constant pandemic, civil unrest and race and gender relations, all while providing for the families domestic needs and in search of equal playing field in our professional careers.

Join us and Michelle McKinnie, a licensed counselor, as we have an open dialogue on the female perspective.

“We must BELIEVE” - Michelle McKinnie.
